ബസ് (bas) and ഓട്ടോ (ōṭṭō) are essential in towns and villages. വഴി (vazhi) means way, route, or road depending on the sentence, so it is extremely useful for directions. കൂലി (kūli) can mean fare or wage; in auto and taxi contexts it refers to the amount to pay. ബോട്ട് (bōṭṭŭ) matters in backwater regions and islands.
