This page explains who writes DeshKaBasha.in, how lessons are researched and verified, and how to report a mistake.
Who writes this site
All content is written and edited by Yasa Rahul, a native Telugu speaker from Telangana, India. Telugu lessons are written from first-hand knowledge of everyday spoken usage in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, not translated from textbooks.
Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam starter courses are compiled from standard reference sources and reviewed for everyday accuracy. Where we are less certain, we say so on the page.
How a lesson is built
- Topic selection — driven by what learners actually search for and request through our contact form.
- Drafting — vocabulary and phrases are chosen for real-world frequency, not textbook completeness.
- Script and transliteration — every entry is given in native script plus a consistent Roman transliteration.
- Register check — each phrase is marked formal, neutral or casual, because using the wrong register is the most common learner mistake.
- Regional check — where Telangana and Andhra usage differ, both are noted.
- Audio — a listen button is attached to key entries.
- Review — the page is re-read for accuracy before publication and revisited when readers report issues.
Use of AI tools
We use software tools, including AI writing assistants, to help draft, structure and proofread lessons — in the same way a writer uses a spellchecker or an outline tool. Every lesson is reviewed, corrected and approved by a human before publication, and language accuracy is checked against native-speaker knowledge. We do not publish machine output unreviewed.
Audio disclosure
Some pronunciation is generated by your device’s built-in text-to-speech engine rather than by a human speaker. Machine voices approximate real pronunciation and occasionally err, particularly on retroflex consonants and long vowels. Where accuracy is critical, please verify with a native speaker.
Corrections policy
We would genuinely rather be corrected than be wrong. If you spot an error — a wrong translation, an unnatural phrase, a bad transliteration or a cultural inaccuracy — email deshkabasha.in@gmail.com. We aim to review reports within a few days, fix confirmed errors promptly, and credit the person who reported it if they wish.
Advertising and independence
This site may display advertising to remain free. Advertisers have no influence over lesson content, topic selection or editorial judgement. We do not accept paid guest posts, paid links or sponsored lessons.
Updates
Lessons are living documents. We add examples, correct errors and expand thin pages over time. Significant rewrites are reflected in the page’s modified date.
